Whether you like Voight or not, he has always cared for his team. It's hard to see it sometimes because he yells at them while doing what needs to be done to protect them. He always keeps an eye on them, watching them make mistakes and be there when they fall. Encourage them when they do good. Support them when they feel bad, or sad, or not enough. Hank has lost so many people along the way. Now, with this episode (7x06), we can see that Jay in on his way to become a real good partner to him.
