Keir Starmer: British Passport Holders Will Be Able To Use European E-Gates

British passport holders will be able to use e-gates at more European airports as part of a UK-EU deal, the Government has announced.

UK cats and dogs will be able to travel “more easily” by “eliminating the need for animal health certificates for every trip” through the introduction of so-called pet passports.

Elsewhere, European fishing vessels will be given a further 12 years of access to British waters as part of Sir Keir Starmer’s “reset” with Brussels.

Announcing Britain’s re-introduction to the Erasmus+ student exchange scheme, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said: “This will build friendships that will last a lifetime.” She added: “What we have agreed today is historic. It will make a real difference to people in the UK and across our union.”

Speaking at a London press conference, the Prime Minister said: “Britain is back on the world stage. In the last two weeks alone, we have delivered trade deals with India and the US. And that means jobs saved and created.” He went on to claim Britain was a nation “people want to do business with again”.
