Howard vs Robin on missing somebody, and "love" // Howard agrees with & defends Sal - 09/17/2009

this is an absolute CLASSIC that goes under the radar for some reason. --
to break it down quick, they both have a point. and neither of them is 100% right. what Robin originally was talking about during one of the times she was actually calling Howard out was that she couldn't imagine "missing somebody" to the POINT that it would make them feel bad about leaving, or make them feel like they shouldn't be leaving. she was commenting on his co-dependency issues and neuroses, and Howard of course took it literally and decided to argue over what she didn't really mean. she of course isnt saying that she never MISSED anybody ever, but of course thats what it turns into that way Howard can have a bit. and its definitely funny, because it gets Robin all riled up to say things she doesn't really explain. Which then go on to work against her in the constant conversation if she is a wacko or not. ---
basically, Howard missed the entire point with this one and what Robin was actually saying, but im sure he might've even known that. like most arguments, he doesn't want to actually get down to the bottom of them because in doing so would destroy the bit and make it not funny. so what we get, is a great argument by the two, which is ALWAYS great. ---
its also funny that Howard agrees with Sal to begin his rant, because that RARELY happens. the entire bit really starts because of Sal's comments on the wrap up show.
