“Pardon, Pardon Señora !” – Mieczysław Fogg

The tango–song immediately arrived in Poland and won great popularity – the mother of the author, Lili, used to hum or murmur this melody every now and then which meant that she was in a good mood and was recollecting in that moment something nice and pleasant.
Therefore, 13 years ago this tango was on this channel dedicated to Her memory with a special illustration and in a beautiful interpretation of Tadeusz Faliszewski: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOkf_Atg8u0 .

Very early recording of Mieczysław Fogg, made probably late 1930, who seems to be concentrated more on a technical correctness in front of the mic than on the charm of the melody in subject. The quicker tempo, which seems to be killing a little that charm too, was applied in the arrangement most probably to enable the singer to perform whole both canto parts and a repeated refrain (with a short instrumental part close to the end...). Very ancient Polish record being in a very good technical state – a rarity today.

In accompaniment appear only a few musicians, selected from the Odeon orchestra and they must have been situated far behind the vocalist, as they are hardly heard in this recording.
