Wendy Smith and Tim Burgess at the Sage, Gateshead, Oct 2013
Tim Burgess invited Wendy Smith, ex Prefab Sprout, to join him on stage for a performance of Goodbye Lucille #1, and the result was a magical reminder of former Steve McQueen glory days. This is a composite video from three sources - Audio from Helen B, a full video and audio by Dan from the gallery (slightly shaky at the start but it soon settles down), and a partial video by Rachel Deakin, which was high enough resolution - if a little wobbly - to allow some faked multicam effects in the second half.
The audio was Helen and Dan's combined with a touch of equalisation to bring the bass up. If anyone else has a cameraphone version of this either partial or complete or the following encore which also included Wendy, I'd love to hear of it.
