- TOKYO : Tokyo (東京 Tōkyō, English / ˈtoʊkioʊ /, [6] Japanese: [toːkʲoː] (see); lit. "Eastern Capital"), formally the Tokyo Metropolis (東京 都 Tōkyō-to), is one of 47 prefectures Japan, which has been the capital of Japan since 1869. [7] [8] As of 2018, Greater Tokyo ranks first as the world's most populous metropolitan area. [9] Tokyo is the seat of the Emperor of Japan, the Japanese government, and the Japanese Parliament. Tokyo covers part of the Kanto region, the Izu Islands, and the Ogasawara Islands. [10] Tokyo was formerly known as Edo when Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city its headquarters in 1603. The city changed its name to Tokyo after Emperor Meiji became the capital and moved the throne from Kyoto in 1868. The Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京 府 Tōkyō-fu) and the City of Tokyo (東京 市 Tōkyō-shi). Tokyo is often referred to as a city, whereas officially Tokyo is a "metropolitan prefecture" that is very different from an ordinary city and combines the elements of a city and a prefecture.

- JAKARTA : The Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) is the national capital and the largest city in Indonesia. Jakarta is the only city in Indonesia that has provincial-level status. Jakarta is located on the northwest coast of Java Island. In the past, several names were known, including Sunda Kelapa, Jayakarta, and Batavia. In the international world Jakarta also has the nickname J-Town, or more popularly The Big Durian because it is considered a city that is comparable to New York City (Big Apple) in Indonesia.
