Enigmatic Worlds gameplay, no commentary, presentend in 4K/60. A retro-styled first person shooter game that is a love letter to obscure 90s FPS games, amiga games, as well as many old Game Maker FPS games that led to discovering classic FPS games and the GZDoom engine in the first place!

Enigmatic Worlds surely is a weird boomer shooter. With distinct, colorful locales and weirder than weird creatures. We are up for a nostalgia trip when each new first person shooter game felt like a exploring a whole new world. Made by an absolute veteran of the Doom modding community.

You goal is to explore several huge sprawling worlds (levels), while gathering some kind of runes which upon reaching a threshold will unlock a portal to the hub world.

Don't be fooled by the seemingly low number of levels in this game, figuring them out and its secrets can take easily 2 hour each. This is a Hexen like scenario, some stuff and level progression can feel unintuitive or cryptic, but keeping an eye on your environment and visual cues in the wall textures helps a lot.

Un FPS de estilo retro que sirve como carta de amor a los FPS oscuros de los 90, los juegos de Amiga y muchos antiguos FPS hechos con Game Maker que llevaron a descubrir los shooters clásicos y el motor GZDoom en primer lugar.

Enigmatic Worlds es, desde luego, un boomer shooter muy peculiar. Con escenarios coloridos y distintivos, y criaturas más raras todavía. Nos propone un viaje nostálgfirst person shooterico a aquellos tiempos en los que cada nuevo FPS se sentía como explorar un mundo completamente nuevo. Creado por todo un veterano de la comunidad de modding de Doom.

Tu objetivo es explorar varios mundos enormes y laberínticos (niveles) mientras recoges unas especies de runas que, al alcanzar una determinada cantidad, desbloquean un portal de regreso al mundo central.

No te dejes engañar por el aparente bajo número de niveles del juego: descubrir cómo completarlos y encontrar todos sus secretos puede llevar fácilmente dos horas por nivel. La progresión recuerda mucho a Hexen, por lo que algunas situaciones y objetivos pueden parecer poco intuitivos o incluso crípticos. Sin embargo, prestar atención al entorno y a las pistas visuales presentes en las texturas de las paredes ayuda enormemente.
