How To Bind Eachine E160 To Spektrum DSM 2/X Transmitter

Is it hard to bind Eachine E160 to Spektrum DSM2/X? Nope, it's easy, but there is one little hiccup to overcome, and that is getting the Spektrum satellite receiver into bind mode. It can't be done through the Eachine E160 RC helicopter unfortunately.

If you have any other RC model that you use with a Spektrum or aftermarket DSM satellite/remote receiver that you know you can get the RX into bind mode with that other model, you could use it to pre-bind the specific Spektrum DSM satellite RX you use in the E160.

You can also pre-bind the Spektrum satellite RX through a full function Spektrum DSM receiver that supports satellite receivers such as I'm doing in this video with a JR R921 RX. Once you have the satellite RX pre-bound, then you can simply plug it into your Eachine E160 RC helicopter.

Spektrum radios, use TAER channel mapping (throttle, aileron, elevator, rudder), which is different from the built in S-FHSS RX in the E160 thuse uses AETR mapping, but that is fine. The control board on the E160 will also accept Spektrum's TAER mapping when any DSM 2/X is plugged into the board. This means you don't have to mess around with channel mix programming in your Spektrum radio. Nice!
