Jezera, mjesto pomoraca, ribara i ronilaca smješteno je na jugoistočnoj strani otoka Murtera. Jezera su uvučena u zaljev oblika potkove koji je okružen pitomim brežuljcima. Zbog svog prirodnog položaja mjesto nije izloženo udarima jačih vjetrova pa je njegova uvala idealna kao pristanište i stanište brodova. Mjesto broji 960 stanovnika. Na ulazu u uvalu (luku) dva su mjesna kupališta i šetnica.

Ime Jezera dolazi od toga što se kišnica zaustavlja na djelu nepropusnog tla pa stvara velike lokve. Blato ili Jezero, u davnini močvarno tlo jugozapadno od samog mjesta, većim djelom je isušeno zbog malarije početkom 20 st., dok je druga vodena površina zvana Lokva puna vode od prvih do zadnjih kišnih razdoblja.

Jezera, die Stadt der Seeleute, Fischer und Taucher, liegt im Südosten der Insel Murter. Jezera liegt abgeschieden in einer hufeisenförmigen Bucht, die von sanften Hügeln umgeben ist. Aufgrund seiner natürlichen Lage ist die Stadt keinen starken Winden ausgesetzt und ihre Bucht ist ein idealer Hafen für Schiffe. Die Stadt hat 960 Einwohner. Es gibt zwei lokale Strände und eine Promenade am Eingang zur Bucht (Hafen).

Der Name Jezera kommt von der Tatsache, dass der Regen durch den undurchlässigen Boden gestoppt wird und große Pfützen entstehen. Blato (Schlamm) oder Jezero (See) waren in der Antike Feuchtgebiete, die sich südwestlich der Stadt befanden, aber zum größten Teil im frühen 20.  Jezera, the town of seafarers, fishermen and divers is located on the southeast side of the island of Murter. Jezera is secluded into a horseshoe shaped bay that is surrounded by gentle hills. Due to its natural position, the town is not exposed to strong winds and its cove is an ideal port for ships. The town has 960 inhabitants. There are two local beaches and a promenade at the entrance to the bay (port).

The name Jezera comes from the fact that rain is stopped by the impermeable ground, making large puddles. Blato (mud) or Jezero (lake), in ancient times were wetlands that were located southwest of the town, but for the most part they dried up due to malaria in the early 20th century, while the other body of water called Lokva (or puddle) is full of water from the first to the next period of rain.
