Self-Efficacy in Wellness Coaching

https://spencerinstitute.com/certification-programs/wellness-coach-certification-program/. Skills needed as a qualified wellness coach include understanding self-efficacy. Self-efficacy can play a role in not only how you feel about yourself, but whether or not you successfully achieve your goals in life. The concept of self-efficacy is central to Albert Bandura’s social cognitive theory, which emphasizes the role of observational learning, social experience, and reciprocal determinism in developing a personality. When confronted with a challenge, do you believe that you can succeed? Or are you convinced that you will fail? People with strong self-efficacy are those who believe that they are capable of performing well. These people are more likely to view challenges as something to be mastered rather than avoided. If you don't believe you will succeed in your wellness plan, it is less likely you will reach your goals.
