1/12th Scale Garden Shed Tutorial #6 - Drawer Unit

Another piece here for the messy garden shed, a handy drawer unit for all those little bits and pieces! This little unit fits perfectly beside the window. I’ll also show you how to make a bag of builder’s sand using a polythene bag I saved in my ‘bits which may come in handy’ drawer! I’ve also added a few finds from my little bits box, which I hope will give you a few ideas for your own shed.

1.5mm (1/16 inch) Sheet:
40 x 21mm (1 37/64 x 53/64 inches) – Cut 1 – BACK
0.8mm (1/32 inch) Sheet:
40 x 12mm (1 37/64 x 15/32 inches) – Cut 2 – SIDES
21 x 10.5mm (53/64 x 13/32 inches) – Cut 5 – TOP/BOTTOM/SHELVES
I advise cutting all drawers after construction of the main unit, as this will ensure a more accurate fit.
Top 4 Drawers:
1.5mm (1/16 inch) Sheet:
10 x 8mm (25/64 x 5/16 inches) – Cut 1 – BACK
8.5 x 8mm (21/64 x 5/16 inches) – Cut 2 – SIDES
8.5 x 7mm (21/64 x 9/32 inches) – Cut 1 – BASE
3RD & 4th Drawers:
1.5mm (1/16 inch) Sheet:
20.5 x 8.5mm (13/16 x 21/64 inches) – Cut 1 – BACK
9 x 8.5mm (23/64 x 21/64 inches) – Cut 2 – SIDES
17 x 9mm (43/64 x 23/64 inches) – Cut 1 – BASE
