3 Genius Tricks To Organize Your Tools – No Kaizen Foam! - Part 2 #toolstorage #workshopideas
You've seen the kaizen foam videos. Here's why I don't use it — and what I use instead. I can get the same benefits as Kaizen Foam with other materials as well as other approaches to storage. Following up on my first video, I will show you more ways to store tools efficiently and logically.
We will walk through an alternative to Kaizen Foam with similar advantage but by using plywood we will keep the cost down as well as a better look. This can also be used it tough environments where Foam may not hold up.
If you want to use your computer to layout a drawer, I will show you ways of getting the tools into the computer using your phone, drawing software (Illustrator, Affinity, etc.), and a quick tool to help size and eliminate the Parallax Effect.
We will also line a drawer with a carbon fiber look using car wrap and some scrap wood and a piece of vinyl sheet. This design is perfect for keeping tools in place without the same ‘fussiness’ as more cut out methods.
I will show you a cool way to line the bottom of a drawer or box with a lot of pizzaz!
Finally, I will demonstrate a better way to line the inside of a box to give it a classic look and a premium feel! Think of it as lining a box with an inside out box….
