Au dela du devoir / Beyond the Call of Duty (1982, Lebanese Red Cross)

The film presents the activities of the Lebanese Red Cross during the civil war in 1982: Red Cross vehicles including Landrovers driving through the country from Beirut to the Bekaa valley delivering medicines; polio vaccinations; medical care; blood donors. The film ends by showing Lebanese Red Cross centres caring for physically disabled or mentally disabled people. The film was commissioned by the IFRC to encourage other national societies to continue supporting the work in Lebanon (IFRC Archives file "1982 Lebanon", Mission Reports and Correspondence, 999581).
