Survivors Speak Ohio 2019 - Shakyra Diaz's Story

Shakyra Diaz shares how challenging it used to be to share her crime survivor story. “But now, I can think about what I would have wanted during those moments in my life that I was a crime victim. And it allows me to think of better ways we can support other survivors who have had similar experiences.”
When survivors speak… change happens. Ohio has now launched eight Trauma Recovery Centers in areas where those that are the most harmed and least help actually live.
