Airplanes: Principles Of Flight (1960)

Animation and actual in-flight photography demonstrate the aerodynamic principles of flight. Explains that the principles which govern movement of a fixed wing through air also apply to the rotary wing of helicopters and air craft propellers. Describes the four forces which control flight--lift, thrust, gravity, and drag--in terms of their relationship to the control of all aircraft that fly through the earth's atmosphere.
