Sailing in Sicily. Beautiful Palermo

From the Lipari Islands we sailed to the north coast of Sicily. Now we are heading from Cefalu first to Palermo. The coast is breathtakingly beautiful, but our attention is mostly focused on the clouds in the mountains. The weather is still tense, thunderstorms are moving across the sea or rain is falling over the island. We spend three days in a small marina just outside the old town of Palermo. The city with its morbid charm casts a spell over us. Street art meets street food. We enjoy every minute in Palermo. But then we have to move on. In San Vito on the northwest coast of the island we spend three days instead of one. Not because the place has so much to offer, but the anchorage in front of the marina is safe. Thunderstorms keep coming up, which we definitely don't want on our crossing to Sardinia.
