Baby Rehab Opossums, Learning to Lap!

These are 6 orphaned baby opossums I am currently rehabbing (actually there are now 7: another orphan was later incorporated into the litter). Initially they had to be syringe- fed their formula but now as you can see they're learning to lap from a dish. This is a great time saver and is one of the special qualities of opossums, that they will lap from a dish even at a young age! :D They are under 80 grams in this video. The formula they are drinking is from Fox Valley.
