Fort Edmonton Foundation - Fort Edmonton Park History
In 1795, the Hudsons Bay Company established a fur trading post along the North Saskatchewan River and called it Edmonton House. It was renamed Fort Edmonton and relocated several times over the next century. In 1914, the Fort was dismantled. Learn more about the history of how Fort Edmonton Park was rebuilt in 1969.
