Life Beyond Death (2 of 3)

The hope for some existence beyond death has been central to the Christian faith for two millennia. However, there has never been a consensus about what this life is like, nor are there any clear descriptions of it in the Bible.

Join this three-week series to consider the various views concerning the object of our faith. Those often antagonistic speculations include a post-mortem family reunion, continuing heavenly service to God, rapt adoration of God’s glory, the absorption of individual consciousness into the life of God, the continuing impact of an individual’s life on future generations, and present experiences of transcending time and space. We will also consider why main-line Christians tend to shy away from this question much more than evangelicals and Roman Catholics do.

This series is presented by Lee Barrett, the Mary B. and Henry P. Stager Chair in Theology, Professor of Systematic Theology at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
