Karumuri Nageswara Rao Admits Taking Liquor Transport Contract During YCP Rule

In a major development, former minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao was questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the liquor transport contract case.

During the probe, he reportedly revealed that his family had taken up the contract for transporting liquor from **APSBCL depots to government outlets during the previous regime.

Sources indicate that his son Sunil handled the business operations, while the contract was allegedly obtained through a private firm. Officials questioned him for over 40 queries, with some answers reportedly avoided.

The SIT has stated that after analyzing the statements, Karumuri Nageswara Rao may be summoned again for further interrogation.
