Why I only use THREE lenses as a wedding photographer

in 2015 I switched photography brands from Canon to Nikon. I owned 8 lenses with canon and it was too much. During the wedding day as a wedding photographer, I would be switching lenses every few seconds and not truly become a master of each lens. I owned a canon 70-200, canon 85mm, canon 35mm, canon 24-105 f4, canon fisheye lens, and more. As a wedding photographer you need to know your gear inside and out, once I switched to Nikon and only bought three lenses I mastered them really well and that's when I started to develop a photography style.

I now shoot with just three lenses:
-Nikon 50mm Nikkor 1.4
-Nikon 135mm f2
-Nikon 24-70 (I only use this lens 5% of the time)

It's been great only owning a few lenses, I know exactly the results I will gain from using each lens and I have become a better portraite photographer because of it.
