TImelapse Tuesday: Toadally Arbus

Charcoal drawing on paper of a Diane Arbus photograph titled "Child Crying"

I have always been influenced by some of the great black and white photographers, from Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, to Edward Weston, and Diane Arbus. Around 1999 i decided to take a figure drawing class so I could draw some of my photos and those of the masters as a means of learning better compostion and to force myself to take lighting and contrast more seriously as I shoot a black and white photo. I have always been obsessed with timelapses and the human movement the eye cannot see because of our eyes inherent frame rate around 24 frames per second, so naturally my studies in composition got lapsed. Here is one such study from 2003, Its of a Diane Arbus photograph called Child Crying. I used a Sankyo em-40xl Super 8 camera.
