An att@-ack targeted a shuttle train carrying over 300 passengers from Quetta Cantonment to Quetta City Railway Station near Chaman Phatak in Balochistan, Pakistan.

Dozens of people were effected. Most of the casualties were Pakistan security personnel and their families traveling home for Eid al-Adha holidays. Nearby residential flats were also d@maged.

More than 25 vehicles were des*troy*ed in the blast. The Majeed Brigade, affiliated with the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), claimed responsibility for the att@-ack.

This incident comes after previous att@-acks on Quetta Railway Station and the Jaffar Express hijacking in Bolan. Immediately after the att@-ack, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Quetta, where Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti briefed him on the situation.
