Syrphid Fly / Hover Fly Larva Catching and Feeding on Aphids (Syrphidae)

Graphic! Close views of a Syrphid Fly (AKA Hover Fly / Flower Fly) larva catching and feeding on three Aphids. Most clips are 10-20x faster than real time. I believe this is a 2nd instar larva, tribe unknown. The larva was found in a colony of Aphids on Common Milkweed. Filmed with a digital microscope on October 4, 2017 in the Missouri Ozarks, USA.
