RAW: Uzbek president dances with guests at int'l music fest 'Sharq Taronalari'

The X International Music Festival "Sharq Taronalari" (Melodies of the Orient) was held in Uzbekistan's historic city of Samarkand on August 25-30.

This year's event gathered over 50 performing groups from around the world.

"Sharq Taronalari" is a biennial festival of traditional music from different countries.

It has been held since 1997 by the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and under the patronage of Unesco.
