(:Review:) SHARS Aventor Large Display Digital Caliper W/Fractional Output & 3Rd Party Calibration

When it comes to digital calipers, you can get a really good caliper for way less than the big names in the business like Mitutoyo, Starrett and Fowler, but make sure you get one that has been tested at least once, and has a good company behind it. Shars is one-upping the competition with their Adventor series of caliper by offer the option to buy one that has been double certified by a US company to make sure it meets it's specs and operates within tolerance. I put this large display format caliper to the test in the same way I have all calipers before and have found it to read reliably and operate smoothly.

When it comes to power consumption, this caliper is not going to win any awards. It draws a lot of power, even when off. That being said, it is quite inexpensive and is made well.
