PECAN: Teaser Trailer

To better understand Plains Elevated Convection at Night (PECAN), responsible for over 50% of annual precipitation across the Great Plains, scientists and students work together with the aid of instrumentation and aircraft from NASA & NOAA to investigate several theories of nocturnal thunderstorm birth, evolution and maintenance processes. The goal of which is to better understand and forecast for farmers and better understand the impactful weather that often interrupts modern society as climate becomes increasingly variable.
