Delhi Rain: Aftermath Visuals Of 'Never-Seen-Before' Storm And Rain That Rattled Delhi | Delhi News

Delhi hailstorm havoc: 2 Dead, Flights Diverted, Power Outages After Sudden Weather Shift. The powerful hailstorm struck Delhi-NCR on Wednesday evening, killing two and injuring 11 others. A 22-year-old man, Azhar, and an unidentified disabled man on a tricycle died in separate incidents. Falling trees and poles disrupted traffic on Delhi-Noida, Delhi-Gurugram, and Delhi-Ghaziabad routes. Thirteen flights were diverted from Delhi airport due to bad weather, including one to Mumbai airport. Heavy waterlogging affected Akshardham Flyover, Tilak Bridge, and Sikandra Road, causing major jams. Power outages hit northern Delhi areas like Model Town, Civil Lines, and Narela post-storm. IMD said a dense cloud mass triggered the sudden dust storm, hail, and strong winds. The storm followed days of scorching heat, with temperatures reaching 40.7°C and high humidity. The heavy hailstorm and rain brought relief from scorching heat but disrupted daily life.
