Follow Along RIPPED ABS Workout For Men Over 50!
Follow Along Ripped Abs Workout For Men Over 50 ...https://www.liveanabolic.com
Guys, I know you want to get back in shape, and it is not too late for you. Today we are going to focus on our core strength as we do a follow along ripped abs workout for men over 50. Not only will this help with your everyday life, but it will also help with your workouts as well. Before starting this workout, make sure to do a quick 10 minute warmup to get your blood flowing. For each exercise in this abs workout, we are going to do 3 sets of 12 reps. Let’s get started with the exercises in this follow along ripped abs workout for men over 50.
Exercise #1: ELBOW PLANK. This is a great low-impact exercise that works your entire core. Have your feet shoulder width apart, squeeze your core, and hold for 30 seconds. After each set of 30 seconds, rest for 15 seconds, and you are going to do this 4 times. This is a great overall strength builder for your core, to start off this follow along ripped abs workout for men over 50.
Exercise #2: BALL CRUNCHES. Sit on a ball and roll down so the ball is on the small of your back. Make sure to not put your hands behind your head because that will strain your neck. Put your hands either to the sides of your head, or on your chest. Go up, and crunch hard, holding the contraction for a couple of seconds. You are going to form a C-shape in your back. If you need more resistance in this exercise, you can add a dumbbell to add more work to your core.
Exercise #3: OBLIQUE CRUNCH. You can do this on a bench or on the ground. You are going to do a normal crunch, but you are going to bring your elbow to your opposite knee. Again, if you need more resistance because it is too easy for you, you can add a dumbbell to add more work to your abs.
Exercise #4: LEG LIFT CRUNCHES. This is a great exercise because it works your hip abductors as well. Put your hands behind you or under your butt, stick your legs straight out, and pull them into your chest. When you extend your legs, touch your heels to the floor, but do not rest them there. If you want to make this a little more advanced, bring your hands to the side of your head, instead of behind you.
Exercise #5: BACK EXTENSION. We are now going to target our lower lumbar, which is important for building our core. Hook your feet under the bottom of a bench, put your hands to the side of your head. You are going to bend down then pull yourself up. Make sure to focus on your breathing, inhaling on your way down and exhaling on your way up.
Exercise #6: OVERHEAD CRUNCH. This focuses more on your lower abs to finish with the last exercise in this follow along ab workout at home for men over 50. As you go up, you want to try and touch the ceiling with your hands. If you need more difficulty, make sure to add a dumbbell to this exercise.
