Uzès, France

http://tourvideos.com/ Uzès is a charming, small town in the south of France, with pretty pedestrian lanes, a lovely main square, fine restaurants, and a friendly ambience. The historic buildings date back to the Renaissance and Middle Ages, constructed of limestone and brick surdy enough to last 500 years. We are in Languedoc, just west of Provence, in a town the ancient Romans developed because nearby was their source of water for a great aqueduct that nourished their provincial capital in Nimes, including a passage through the famous Pont du Gard, several miles away. It makes a great visit from a home base in Avignon, which can be arranged with a tour company such as Provence Reservation, who drove us there in small vans, with commentary by excellent local guides. https://www.provencereservation.com/en
