FLAMENCO PARA TUS OJOS - FLAMENCO FOR YOUR EYES

Ramón Jiménez Salazar 'El Cigala'. Lo de Diego es el fruto de una disputa familiar en la misma pila bautismal y lo de Cigala se lo pusieron los hermanos Losada -y no Camarón, como se dice- en una de sus primeras giras. Nace en el frío diciembre de 1968 en la calle de Provisiones del Rastro madrileño. Su madre, Aurora Salazar Motos, hermana del gran maestro salmantino Rafael Farina, no se dedicó profesionalmente al cante pero los que la escucharon tienen bien guardado su eco flamenco. Su padre, andaluz, José de Córdoba, se ganó la vida en tablaos como Torres Bermejas, El Corral de la Pacheca y Arco de Cuchilleros.
Junto con Bebo Valdes y producido por Fernando Trueba, protagonizo uno de los discos fundamentales de la primera década de este siglo: LAGRIMAS NEGRAS. Luego siguieron DOS LAGRIMAS, PICASSO EN MIS OJOS, CIGALA TANGO, ROMANCE DE LA LUNA TUCUMANA. Presentó para TV la serie FLAMENCO PARA TUS OJOS.
