10cc - I'm Not In Love (May 1975) Tribute To Gloria Gaynor.

When I first heard I'm Not In Love by 10cc in May 1975 I had only seen Gloria Gaynor twice. Both times on TV the first on 19/12/74 and the second 13/3/75.
Being only Ten years old at the time I bought' I'm Not In Love' on it's release not really understanding the song but somehow it related to me with how I felt about Gloria. I finally got to see Gloria in concert on March 3rd 1976. When I saw her in real life in her White outfit and beautiful afro hair she became my angel and I knew I would love her for the rest of my life.

When I over heard my father talking to one of his friend's, (who must of seen my posters of Gloria) saying " it's just a silly phase he's going through' it was then the song became so special to me as I then understood what the song was about that he was in love but in denial.

All through that long hot UK summer of 1976 I couldn't get Gloria out of my mind and played I'm Not In Love so much I had to buy another copy. Ever since I first saw her I think about her everyday even after all this time has past. I love you Gloria Gaynor I always will. You can't help the way you feel about someone so I hope that you can forgive me.
