Teen Sensation Alex Eala Shocks the Tennis World

Filipino teen sensation Alex Eala’s incredible Miami Open run comes to an end in the semifinals
The 19-year-old rising star stunned the tennis world by defeating top-ranked players, including five-time major champion Iga Swiatek, Australian Open winner Madison Keys, and former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko. Ranked 140th in the world, Eala became the lowest-ranked semifinalist in Miami Open history!
Despite a thrilling three-set battle, Eala fell to world No. 4 Jessica Pegula, who won 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 in a late-night showdown. Even with injuries, Eala fought hard and showed incredible resilience.
After the match, Eala shared her emotions, calling the experience a dream run and promising to keep up her momentum. Meanwhile, Pegula advances to the final to face World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
