Our visit of Wall Drug in South Dakota (a drug store like no other)

If you grew up in the Midwest, you must have seen bumper stickers for Wall Drug or you must have seen one of their numerous billboards on the side of the road. But what exactly is Wall Drug? What is there to see at Wall Drug? What is there to do at Wall Drug? Is Wall Drug a restaurant? Is Wall Drug a store? Is Wall Drug a pharmacy? Is Wall Drug a museum? Is Wall Drug an amusement park?

Well, Wall Drug is a little bit of all of the above. It even has a travelers chapel! What started in 1931 as a simple pharmacy in the small town of Wall, South Dakota has become a unique attraction like no other in the world. It is a family-owned business that has been in the Hustead family for four generations. Wall Drug celebrates the Western culture of that part of the country. It is a great stop on the side of Highway US 90 on your way from the Badlands National Park to the Mount Rushmore National Park. We have been to Wall Drug several times and we have loved it every single time. We hope you do too.
