This is a song of a girl who is in love. She has three friends, who know about her feelings - a river, a nightgale and a birch. The girl enjoys her love but then her boyfriend has gone to the war and the river has covered with ice,the nightgale doesn't sing any more and the birch has lost her leaves. The girl is waiting for her sweetheart and believes that spring will come again and bring joy to her and her three friends
