BASIC STORY CONCEPT: (Post canon divergence) Oikawa leaves professional volleyball career behind in favor of pursuing a career in medicine. Thwarted by his roommate (Iwa) who is always trying to make him eat healthy, Iwa throws out all his snacks, forcing him to either eat healthy or order takeout. I like to imagine even into his mid 20s Oikawa would still have that petulant side of himself but perhaps it’s just morphed into pettiness? Either way, his mind goes to his old rival turned classmate in college. Knowing he works as a delivery boy he decides to order pizza and also to shove it in Iwa’s face too (I’m sure he’ll find the pizza box the following day)

We went with the college AU by trying to slip subtle things into the story like a bare room with a single couch, Mcat textbook, laptop, and the pizza boy job (a lot of my friends did delivery jobs in college).
