Tales from the Crypt animatronic was real! The Crypt Keeper puppet wasn’t CGI — it was a full animatronic skeleton built by Kevin Yagher Productions, the same team behind Chucky from Child’s Play.
Inside were 50+ micro-servos moving the eyes, mouth, and head — all perfectly synced by three puppeteers. Actor John Kassir gave him that unforgettable voice: “Hello, boils and ghouls!”
