DIY Short Bus Tour - Off Grid Tiny Home on Wheels w/ Shower, AC, Kitchen | Rutele

Hello friends and welcome to the full reveal/tour of our shuttle bus conversion!

My fiance and I bought this 2013 Chevy Express 4500 in the middle of the pandemic and worked non stop for over a year and a half to get it to this point. We are so excited to finally show you our hard work and what we were able to accomplish!

Our little home on wheels is about 100 sq ft and features a full kitchen, full bathroom with shower and toilet, a motorized lift bed, a huge seating area with tons of storage, a closet, and a wood stove for heating.

I wanted this bus to feel cozy and like an actual home so I incorporated a lot of eco modern ideas and focused heavily and sustainability and clean elements where possible. The floor, ceiling and walls are insulated with hemp and wool. The flooring itself is made from natural cork. The walls and ceiling were painted with lime wash and other non toxic paint. Bathroom walls and kitchen counter are sealed with non toxic sealers. We tried to use solid wood where we could. The curtains, cushions and pillow covers are sewn from linen fabrics. Most accessories around the bus like shelves and towel bars are from artisan shops that support their workers and pay fair wages.
