This week, Karla Bonoff's 5 Minute Concert Tour takes us "Home." A Karla classic and staple of any show she does was released on her first album in 1977. Bonnie Raitt covered it the same year and helped the world discover the song. In 2020, 43 years later, Trisha Yearwood, did a lovely version on her latest album, Every Girl. In between, 1977 and 2020, the song was recorded by many others It's a song about hope and how good it feels when you get back home. Like so many of Karla's songs, they are universal and these days, as we are at home more than ever, the song paints a warm, comfortable vision for our sheltered times.
