Welcome to my channel! My name is Scott D. and i’m a color separator. Ive actually been doing color separations for over 25 years now.

The first job I got as a separator was back in 1996, they were still cutting rubylith and trying to improve their separations by moving to a digital format.

I was put to the task of finding out how to create separations digitally, in Photoshop. Now there wasn’t any classes I could take on the subject, so I didn’t have any way for someone to teach me. Youtube didn’t even exist back then.

So it was up to me to come up with a new way to create these color separations.

I started exploring the different features of Photoshop and discovered my own way to do separations that actually worked.

Through trial and error over 25 years I’ve developed my own version of simulated process separations.

Let me share with you some of the things I’ve learned in the art of color separation for screen printing.
