A very well organised pantry is a must-have in every kitchen worldwide. It has numerous benefits like not having to rummage inside shelves to find something and risk the expiry of products that are kept in hidden areas. Buying something that you already own but failed to realise it because it was kept somewhere deep in the kitchen. It could be overwhelming to enter the kitchen with the idea of organising and seeing products scattered all around. Hence very first step towards an organised pantry is to take everything out. Clear everything from the shelves and countertops. Give a thorough wipe down to the storage spaces around the kitchen. Since the shelf surfaces are constantly subjected to friction due to the sliding inventory items, it is advantageous to line the shelves before stacking them. It will keep the shelves undamaged and scratch-free.
Now go through each individual product and assess their usage. Dispose of the things that have exceeded their expiration date. Get rid of the chipped and unused cutlery. While sorting through the items, note down those that need to be purchased. Keep an eye out for containers that can be reused.
