An exceptionally rainy spell has brought vibrant life to the desert landscape of Anza-Borrego State Park in San Diego County, California. This massive greening—the largest in many years—is part of a ‘super bloom' sweeping several of California's arid and grassland regions. And wildlife is responding to the uncharacteristic flowering: Caterpillars feed on the colorful bounty, and in turn hawks and reptiles feed on the insects. VIDEO: Roger Uzun
