This Magic Moment - Jay and The Americans 1968
Recorded in 1968, Jay and the Americans cover of "This Magic Moment" is one of the group's best known releases featuring Jay Black as the second, and more widely known of the "Jay" lead singers. A popular pop music group in the 1960's, Jay and the Americans withstood the British invasion by touring extensively and creating a decade's worth of hits on 15 albums. The song was originally recorded by the outstanding Ben E. King and The Drifters and scored #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 1960.
