Mercedes-Benz - E400d Coupé - Insane Acceleration 0-180km/h

Dear fans of great cars and great engines,

this is another nolde10 acceleration clip. This time we are using the 2020 E-Class coupe to accelerate from a standing position.
Du to some traffic on the road I could not accelerate to full thrust, however from 0-100km/h is important. The car features Merc's latest and super efficient in-line 6 cylinder diesel engine with 700NM (516 lb ft) of torque, transmitted to the road surface with an adaptive 4-wheel drive (4WD) and a maximum power of 340hp.

We’re talking big diesels here, and the E400d features an all-new ‘OM 656’ 3-litre inline-six, the latest of Merc's advanced new petrol and diesel six-cylinder units. This specific E400d engine replaces the previous 3-litre V6 turbodiesel that’s been used in a variety of 350d models throughout Merc’s large car range, and as such has been engineered to slot into a wide variety of frames, including the flagship S-class, G-class and next-generation GLS.
What that equates to is a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph, in a car that weighs nearly 1.9 tonnes. Fully laden it’ll be over 2 tonnes, and that’s a lot of car for performance figures like that. Even with these figures, it’ll return nearly 40mpg on the combined cycle whilst emitting just 158g/km CO2. And the best bit? – this ultra-modern diesel engine is probably the quietest, smoothest oil-burner we’ve ever driven.
