Halloween Night Ride - Thorpe Thewles, Wynyard Country Park and Castle Eden Walkway

Back out for a quick night ride, basically just an excuse to escape the trick or treaters!

This is a route that can be varied to include Hurworth Burn Reservoir, or up to Station Town, Wingate or Castle Eden if you fancy a mid ride pint/coffee/gastropub meal.

The Vane Arms does have a nice beer garden and is well worth a visit during the summer for a pleasant afternoon or evening bimble.

The descent down the viaduct is a lot steeper than it looks and, trust me, you need to approach it at a steady pace or you will lose control.
