Flinging a handful of sand in your opponent's face is dirty tactics 101, for instance. It's the ideal opening gambit if you're outnumbered, outclassed or if you just left your self-respect in your other trousers. You will find perpetrators Ezio of Assassin's Creed fame and Street Fighter's Cody in the video above.

A similarly dirty trick is bringing a gun to a hand-to-hand duel, like Mortal Kombat X cowboy fighter Erron Black, who is dirtier than than an unbathed Christina Aguilera circa 2002. He has an entire character variation based on swiss-cheesing the unarmed you with his twin revolvers.

I don't know if there's a Mortal Kombat rule book, per se, but it's hardly in the spirit of things, is it now. I remember when Mortal Kombatants used to rip out spines with their bare hands. It was a simpler time.
