1904 World's Fair Society - August 2021 meeting - The Swedish Pavilion at the 1904 World's Fair

- Lenore Lynam presented the story of the Swedish Pavilion at the 1904 World's Fair.
- Designed by Ferdinand Boberg, one of Sweden’s premier architects, it is one of very few international buildings that survived the Fair -- and it is still in use today. The pavilion was prefabricated in Sweden, and was then dismantled and shipped to St. Louis for the World's Fair.
- After the Fair closed, the Swedish Pavilion was purchased and moved it to Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. It was used for many purposes over the years.
- In 1969 the Swedish Pavilion was moved again to the Old Mill Museum in Lindsborg and partly restored. The building continues to be used for cultural heritage events several times a year.
