ATX LED simple 3-Way switching - with the AL-WS type wall switch and the AL-WS-M remote switch

ATX LED residential, mass market DC lighting systems simplify the wiring of 3-Way switching. This video introduces how a simple decorator style switch can allow many 3-Way control points - for example at each door of a hallway. These switches support dimming too. Our online FAW documents how to set up 3-Way switching using either of two methods:

a) hardwired using AWG18/2 or smaller wire, with the associations wired in at rough

b) Virtual using the ATX LED Hub to assign any switch in the project as a bus connected, 3-way control, for any single or multiple other switches.

This video is about the hardwired approach. Please see https://atxled.wiki.zoho.com/public/AL-WS-DR2-3-way-mode.html for Virtual operation

Adding 3-way ( or multiple 3-way) controls is simple with the "N-Way" input . This way, each egress to a room, or door on a hallway - can have an On/Off/Dimming switch function. Multiple can be wired in parallel using a simple pair of low cost wire. In the case of the AL-WS-DR1 or AL-WS-Bath - these use a simple On/Off switch for the same function. Please see our FAQ for wiring more info, and do visit our how2 guide for wiring of DC lighting.
