What to expect from Radiofrequency Denervation

Radiofrequency denervation is a type of minimally invasive pain management procedure and we use it to denervate which is essentially to inactive nerves. The only place that we use this in and around the spine so facet joint denervation we use it for, sacroiliac joint denervation we use it for and essentially what you are doing is you are targeting a nerve and you are heating it up to approximately 80 to 90 degrees centigrade and inactivating it. Now, when patients have this procedure done it is generally done in a hospital, it is done under image guidance usually x-ray so they would have x-ray guided facet joint injections which could be cervical, thoracic or lumbar.
