What Is A Dress Clip?

What exactly is a dress clip? Well, people keep telling me they are shoe clips, and this is my response. Dress clips deserve to be known! I happen to love dress clips and collect them quite avidly, so today I wanted to introduce you all to them in case these were an item of vintage jewelry you had yet to encounter.

Again, in all seriousness, I don't mind you all trying to correct me, but in this particular case...I really wasn't making the term up I swear ;)
